Kendo
7218 Melrose Ave.
CA 90046 Los Angeles
001 323 934 9450
Most shoe spots are definitely focused on men's shoes, as men are way more into sneaker culture than the ladies. But not every women is obsessed with Jimmy Choo's and Manolo's. Kendo is letting the ladies know what's up, and then hooking them up real proper-like. A quick look at the store, you wouldn't figure it carried sneakers, but that's the beauty of it. If the honey's got any flava she's gonna dig this.

Xlarge/Xgirl
1768 N. Vermont Ave.
CA 90027 Los Angeles
001 323 666 3483
XLarge has been holding it down forever, always holding something you are sweating. The heartbeat of Vermont St. shops, XLarge mainly features their own gear. The stuff is way ahead of the curve though. Browse through their store and remember what you see, as you'll see every other company doing the same things 6 months later. They also feature some kicks, and some cool treatments with some chairs and racks. Thought and design has been put into every aspect of displaying the goods. Right next store, and attached via a passthrough door is Xgirl. Always looking ahead Xgirl is funky, futuristic and fun. Not much more to say that wasn't said above, but for females.

Los Angeles
001 323 655 3734
Fred Segal has everything you've heard of or have been looking for. Almost not really a boutique, but a boutique mall, as there are specialty shops inside this specialty store. Plus a caf/restaurant located directly in the center with patio seating out back, it's the ultimate LA hipster scene.
