Feit @ Kitchener

<img src="http://www.kitchener.ch/image/common/fashion/news/152.jpg" alt="" />FEIT is a luxury sneaker line created by Tuff Price and Rodney Adler. The footwear industry knows the Australian duo very well. They have worked at all the big companies and they are the reason for Royal Elastics's success. After leaving Royal Elastics, they started FEIT. The best materials and artisans are paired together to create a high quality shoe.

FEIT-speak, the individual parts that make up a shoe are Komponents. Footwear specialists design and develop each komponent separately. FEIT focuses on the most important komponents, the soul unit, footbed, detailing and the all-important last.

A last is a shoemaker's model for shaping a shoe. A great last will produce a great shoe. FEIT acquired the services of a master last maker, 74-year-old Verdiccio Paderone from Italy. He has an impressive resume that includes making lasts for many of the high-end dress shoe brands. Hailing from a family of last makers, Verdiccio continues to use traditional techniques.

Vibram the world's leading outdoor sole manufacturer creates the soul unit. You can find their soles on many footwear brands. A collaboration between the two companies resulted in reengineering an existing design in order to meet FEIT's needs. The footbed uses military designs for comfort and stability.
The added bonus of thumb straps to help you put on the shoes and position the tongue is a very nice touch.

For Denim Lovers: Levi's Vintage

<img src="http://www.kitchener.ch/image/common/fashion/news/143.jpg" alt="" />LEVI'S VINTAGE CLOTHING is the heart and soul of the Levi's brand. It revives authentic and original icons and meaningful eras and makes them as inspirational to today's pioneers as to those who first shaped them. All garments are carefully handcrafted limited editions. Based on genuine vintage wear, every garment is made from historic Cone Mills XX selvage, and non-denim from exact source replicas. Levi Strauss invented the riveted blue jean in 1873. The rest is history.....

Levi's Vintage Clothing included a selection of handcrafted limited edition reproductions, including the 1933, 1947 and 1955 versions of the Levi's 501jean. Also included were the limited edition 1933 Tow Rope Levi's 501 jeans; the original jeans were used to tow a truck stranded in the middle of California and the incident later inspired the company's most famous ad campaign.

New Arrival: iDiom

<img src="http://www.kitchener.ch/image/common/fashion/news/141.jpg" alt="" />iDiom is one of Burton’s many subbrands. What sets iDiom apart from everything else is the fact that it’s a collaboration between Burton and the Japanese streetwear legend, Hiroshi Fujiwara. The line is available almost exclusively in Japan, yet through Hiroshi’s magic formula of super clean design, an outstanding attention to detail, and the highest quality materials, iDiom has been able to establish itself as one of the top brands in the international snowboard scene.

As far as snowboard jackets go, iDiom has been consistently producing some of the cleanest and most innovative designs on the market. Last season they graced us with a beautifully executed CMYK inspired collection. For 2006, iDiom will continue with their color mode theme, releasing the follow-up to that collection: The Grayscale Series.

The Grayscale Series is arguably iDiom’s strongest offering to date. By integrating a grayscale color theme into current favorites, such as the polka-dot 2.5L jacket, and future classics, such as the pinstripe 3L jacket, iDiom offers riders with a clean, crisp take on some of the most traditional and functional jackets in the Burton lineup.

<img src="http://www.kitchener.ch/image/common/fashion/news/139.jpg" alt="" />What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Real Simple Syndication", it is a cross-platform xml based format. It is used
to exchange news and other web-content.
RSS-Feeds can be recognised by a mostly orange coloured button with letters RSS or XML on it.

Some web-browsers like Firefox now have built in RSS recognition, displaying a special icon if you come across a website offering RSS-Feeds.

A Newsfeed mostly consists of a titel with a link to the URL of the full article and a short lead text.

his is how you can read kitchener.ch News and recommended articles in a RSS-Newsreader:

To read RSS-Feed you need to have a RSS-Newsreader software, with this you can subscribe to RSS-Feeds.
There are a good lot of freeware and shareware readers available on the internet.

Here are some of the most popular ones:

- NetNewsWireLite - Mac OS X *
- AmphetaDesk - Windows, Mac OS, Linux *
- Awasu - Windows *
- BlogExpress - Windows *
- FeedDemon - Windows
- FeedOwl - Windows
- FeedReader - Windows *
- Liferea - Linux *
- NewsDesk - Windows *
- NewsGator - Windows (Outlook-Plugin)
- NewsMonster - Windows, Mac OS X, Linux (Plugin) *
- SlashDock - Mac OS X *

* freeware Feedreader

We recommend NetNewsWire for Mac OS X

There are also Newsreader applications for Symbian Mobilephones and Handhelds.

You can subscribe to the Fieldreport RSS-Feed in most Newsreaders by clicking on NEW or SUBSCRIBE,
entering the link to the Fieldreport.net newsfeed (http://www.kitchener.ch/rss/rss_shop.php for the product feed or http://www.kitchener.ch/rss/rss.php for the general news feed).

The OBEY sticker attempts to stimulate curiosity and bring people to question both the sticker and their relationship with their surroundings. Because people are not used to seeing advertisements or propaganda for which the product or motive is not obvious, frequent and novel encounters with the sticker provoke thought and possible frustration, nevertheless revitalizing the viewer's perception and attention to detail. The sticker has no meaning but exists only to cause people to react, to contemplate and search for meaning in the sticker. Because OBEY has no actual meaning, the various reactions and interpretations of those who view it reflect their personality and the nature of their sensibilities.

AEM'KEI Bamboo underwear for women

<img src="http://www.kitchener.ch/image/common/fashion/news/93.jpg" alt="" />The aem'kei bamboo underwear is tying in with our traditions and in what we love: a touch of Asia. Our bamboo
underwear consists of 98% bamboo and 2% elastan lycra. One of the best features of this eco-friendly material is the
antibacterial character. The more bamboo the material contains, the better the pure character works.
The material has a natural shine without mercerisation and gets its colour in a reactive process. Among its function it fits
tight where it has to be and soft and easy where it needs to be. A perfect fit always looks sexy.
Aem'kei bamboo underwear is cool, light and fresh with a natural feeling. The packaging is 100% organic - just like bamboo.

Bamboo - Green & Biodegradable

<img src="http://www.kitchener.ch/image/common/fashion/news/94.jpg" alt="" />As a regenerated cellulose fiber bamboo fiber is 100% made from bamboo. Through a high-tech process It is produced natural
and eco-friendly without any chemical additives. More important, bamboo fiber is a unique biodegradable textile material. As a natural cellulose fiber it can be 100% biodegraded in soil by microorganisms and sunshine. The decomposition process does not cause any pollution in the environment. "Bamboo fiber comes from nature and completely returns to nature
in the end. "Bamboo fiber is praised as "the natural, green and eco-friendly
new-type textile material of 21st century".

While carbon fiber and titanium are today's much-hyped materials of choice for everything from sunglasses to F1 race cars, bamboo is emerging as nature's own sustainable performance material. The supergrass is nearly as strong as steel and can be woven as soft as silk for one-twentieth the cost. It also grows pesticide-free, self-regenerates when cut down, and can reach 100-foot maturity in three years. In the mid-nineties, flooring manufacturers became the first modern companies to take advantage of bamboo - Asians have used it in construction for centuries.
Bamboo textiles has unparalleled advantages: breathable and cool, nice luster; extremely soft as cashmere; fast water absorption performance; anti-bacteria....
Because the cross-section of bamboo fiber is filled with various micro-gaps and micro-holes, bamboo cloth has much better moisture absorption. Bamboo cloth can absorb and evaporate human sweat in a split second. Bamboo cloth can indulge you with its unrivalled softness. Natural antibacterial elements in bamboo fiber keep bacteria away from bamboo textile.
